Aerial Views of Market Harborough

The Aerial shots on these webpages come from an old photo of the town which was rescued from a car boot sale. As yet, I have been unable to trace the the person who took the photograph.

By careful study of the state of development of the town in the photograph, it's possible to date it to somewhere around 1987. Other pointers reveal the time of day, like the time on St. Dionysius' clock face - 12:15 and the short shadows of the trees in Symingtons' recreation ground. The absence of both people and traffic also suggest that the photograph was taken on a Sunday - before the mid 90's, when very few shops were open on this day.

The photograph has been split up into smaller sections, for quicker downloading and more detailed viewing. Just click on the direction arrows for navigation, or select the 'plane' icon from any of the pages on the site which feature an aerial view.

There are 15 out of 20 aerial views completed at the present update date.
